The brand new movie, Dragon Ball Super Broly, has been released in Italy on February 28th, following a series of dedicated premieres and events, which in the previous days has built up fans hype around the movie event that sees the comeback of one of the most beloved characters: Broly, the legendary Super Sayan.
The movie has immediately conquered the box office, reaching the first position among new releases far away from other competitors.
It’s a sensational start for the anime that, in its first day on the screens, has gained 542.000 Euro with more than 75.000 viewers in line with the trend registered in other countries where it was already released and reached over 100 millions dollars.
The Italian reaction doesn’t come as a surprise ,says Starbright management, because it is perfectly in line with what is happening with Dragon Ball Franchise in general.
Its claim “from one generation to the other”, launched two years ago with the new animated series Dragon Ball Super, is reflected in the audience response that embraces a varied target from kids who collect cards to teens who read the manga and play with the videogame, reaching also adult consumers with dedicated and never seen before products.
“Dragon Ball is a universe constantly evolving, still in part to be discovered, and for this reason after 30 years from its debut in Italy it is considered a classic, but at the same time contemporary” Starbright says “the audience wants to discover what is going to happen and what it happened previously in a series of never-ending and compelling plots”.
